Missoni Meets Bali
Some invitations feel special the moment they arrive, and this was one of them. The Missoni Resort Club at The Ritz-Carlton, Bali launched their first ever beach club in South East Asia, attended by Giacomo Missoni, and it was a weekend of a seamless blend of fashion, design, and downtime in one of the most breathtaking locations on the island.
Missoni is synonymous with effortless luxury—think sun-drenched Italian summers, vibrant patterns, and a sense of playful sophistication. Pairing that with The Ritz-Carlton, Bali, a sanctuary in Nusa Dua with panoramic ocean views, felt like the perfect match. What set this event apart was the balance. It wasn’t just about the fashion—it was about being present. We had morning yoga by the ocean which was a grounding way to start the day. We had spa teeatments. The Ritz-Carlton spa delivered exactly what you’d hope for—deep relaxation, herbal teas, and a massage that made me question why I don’t do this more often.
We also celebrated the Missoni store opening, a mid-morning of fun, trying on the racks of beautifully crafted pieces and a reminder of why the brand continues to stand out. They launched their exclusive collection with The Ritz-Carlton Bali which wasn’t just a fashion drop—it was a collaboration that felt deeply connected to the surroundings. The color palette took inspiration from Bali’s natural landscape, with deep greens, ocean blues, and warm sandy tones woven into the brand’s signature zigzags.
And every detail at the Missoni Resort Club is considered. From the sun loungers by the pool to the textiles used in the villas, the brand’s signature touch is everywhere—without ever feeling overpowering. It’s an experience, not just a look. Beyond the visuals, what really makes this place special is the atmosphere. It’s exclusive but relaxed, stylish but unpretentious. It’s the kind of place where you can go from a morning beach walk to an elegant dinner without missing a beat.
Hanging out with Giacomo Missoni was a highlight. He’s the kind of person who makes you forget you’re at a high-profile launch—casual, effortlessly cool, and genuinely excited about the collection. You could tell this was more than just another project for the brand. The final dinner at Bejana was the perfect way to wrap things up—local flavors, great company, and a setting that made you want to linger just a little longer. The menu was a symphony of flavors, artfully crafted to honor Bali’s rich culinary heritage, and by the end of the night, no one was in a rush to leave.
Leaving, I didn’t just feel inspired by the designs—I felt a quiet reminder to be more present, to appreciate the details, make space for moments that don’t need an agenda and have more fun by the beach!
